Based upon a near-death experience related by Lance Richardson
in his book “The Message’
The gift was given, not many have been so blessed
to visit the next life while not tasting death.
His body lay in a hospital bed, now comatose,
while his spirit soared to new heights in a world called “Paradise”.
His spirit was privileged to depart and the afterlife discover
while his mortal frame rested and took time to recover.
The veil parted and he entered a realm he only believed existed
a dimension away from the place from which he originally departed.
He learned that Paradise and is not the abode of God
but a temporary residence until the final judgement is called.
Even though he did not see God’s face,
he felt His presence, His influence and His warm embrace.
He was greeted by friends and family and taught what life there is about.
It was an exceptional place, reserved only for the righteous and devout.
He was encouraged to tell his story and his experiences so bold
so that others would hear the message God wanted told.
So, what was the conclusion of this remarkable journey?
What did he learn that was so extraordinary?
If we have lived our lives as Jesus taught,
we will live in the glorious place that on earth we sought.
God has created a plan and all things have their purpose and order -
each individual is assisted by a host of otherworldly sisters and brothers.
Each of us will be invited into welcome service
when we leave this life and make a heavenly entrance.
God has helpers, more than a few
to assist those on earth our missions to pursue.
It will seem a natural thing and make common sense
to give to others what we received while on earth from friends in Paradise.
Most likely we will not see or talk to a post-mortal being,
but we may feel their presence or be inspired by a message they may bring.
I am comforted by the belief that I am never alone -
that there are angels watching over me, sent from my paradisiacal home.

Luke 23: 39-43 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

“Brothers and sisters, one of the great consolations of this Easter season is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so. His solitary journey brought great company for our little version of that path—the merciful care of our Father in Heaven, the unfailing companionship of this Beloved Son, the consummate gift of the Holy Ghost, angels in heaven, family members on both sides of the veil, prophets and apostles, teachers, leaders, friends. All of these and more have been given as companions for our mortal journey because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the Restoration of His gospel.
Trumpeted from the summit of Calvary is the truth that we will never be left alone nor unaided, even if sometimes we may feel that we are. Truly the Redeemer of us all said: “I will not leave you comfortless: [My Father and] I will come to you [and abide with you].”
