From a distance, God is watching us,
He sees without limit all of our concerns and fuss.
We may hide our actions from others but not from heavens view,
God sees all the things we say and do.
If we could see with the view that God has,
we would see each other as equals, as brothers and sisters.
Distance can blur our vision of what we should readily comprehend,
If I only look close enough, I will see you as my friend.
From a distance God is helping us and sustaining us day to day,
but most often he is right here beside us, helping us find our way.
From a distance, God instructs us to live in love, in total harmony.
It is the hope and dream of every person to live with peace and liberty.
From a distance God has instructed us how to live, to care for those who have need.
We should impart of our substance to others and hungry mouths to feed. (King Benjamin’s address)
From a distance God has inspired us with words and songs of the heart,
to remind us of our relationship to each other and our family ties from the very start.
The song of every man and woman is to love each other with a connection so secure,
That we do what is best for others and not make our affection for each other obscure.
As we stand on any hill or mountain and enjoy the breathtaking view,
we can see the hand of God in all things, from the distance we pursue.
Close up, if we see into the face and eyes of another, to see their heart and soul,
we may see ourselves, our hopes and dreams yet to be fulfilled.
We may see the divine destiny of man that God has for us in mind,
when we make the effort to see closely the plan that we can easily see and find.
God is watching us, both from near and far away,
He knows how to best help us and is so willing to do so when we call on Him and pray.
His distance adds perspective so that all things come into sight,
We too can see better when we look with all our might.
We can be instruments in the hands of God, to improve the lives of others,
to assist him in his efforts to save our sisters and brothers.
God is watching us, his spirit can be with us every day,
if we only desire his loving guidance to help us on our way.
