The people were gathered, all in one body and one faith.
They were different in character but alike in their belief.
A more excellent way had been given-
the “unspeakable gift” had come down from heaven.
He had shown Himself to the world so that all could be sanctified.
He came to save the world from sin so that all could be glorified.
A remarkable transformation had taken place,
a peace and joy that happens so rarely to the human race.
For a time there were no divisions, contentions or disputations in the land.
There were also no enemies nor nefarious bands.
They dealt justly with each other and had all things in common.
All were equal - without wealth, race or class distinction.
They would give to each other, rather than take.
They would prefer to perish than their sacred covenants forsake.
Selfishness and greed were not to be found
among these disciples of Christ who were heavenward bound.
They believed that they were responsible to care for each other -
to seek for the welfare of every sister and brother.
There were no happier people whom God had created.
All of their righteous designs were being fully manifested.
The desire of the Godhead is that we may all partake
of all that they have and all that they are pleased to originate.
Their greatest goal is to have all souls return without blemish,
cleansed and purified through the atonement and repentance.
To receive the gift of the Savior is to commit, to follow, to do His will
and take His name upon us,
to always remember Him and keep his teachings and commandments.
Thanks be to God for the gift of His Son.
Through Christ, we can all be redeemed and rejoice that the victory over sin is won.

2 Corinthians 9: 15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
Ether 12: 8-9, 11 But because of the faith of men he has shown himself unto the world, and glorified the name of the Father, and prepared a way that thereby others might be partakers of the heavenly gift, that they might hope for those things which they have not seen. Wherefore, ye may also have hope, and be partakers of the gift, if ye will but have faith. Wherefore, by faith was the law of Moses given. But in the gift of his Son hath
God prepared a more excellent way; and it is by faith that it hath been fulfilled.
4 Nephi: 1: 2-3, 15-16 And it came to pass in the thirty and sixth year, the people were all converted unto the Lord, upon all the face of the land, both Nephites and Lamanites, and there were no contentions and disputations among them, and every man did deal justly one with another. And they had all things common among them; therefore there were not rich and poor, bond and free, but they were all made free, and partakers of the heavenly gift. And it came to pass that there was no contention in the land, because of the love of God which did dwell in the hearts of the people. And there were no envyings, nor strifes, nor tumults, nor whoredoms, nor lyings, nor murders, nor any manner of lasciviousness; and surely there could not be a happier people among all the people who had been created by the hand of God.
