The Creation

Updated: Nov 6, 2022

The summer storm passed and all was calm and quiet.

The scent of wet earth and clean air was fresh and fragrant.

The night was drawing on, brilliant stars the night revealing.

The drape of darkness over the light of day concealing.

Exposed was the splendor of the constellations, a witness of divine creation -

a testament that all things have order under heavenly supervision.

The heavens themselves declare the glory of God without ambiguity.

The firmament shows His handiwork and reveals the nature of eternity.

Since the beginning of time mankind has gazed at the sky

and asked the essential questions of who, what, how and why.

What makes possible the intricacies of our existence as we know it?

Why is every piece of the puzzle of life a perfect fit ?

How was it done and how did it come about ?

What power was employed to make it all work out ?

The answer is simple if we stop and think.

Creations must have a creator - all things enjoying a common link.

There is a grand design and plan that is infinite in its scope -

a reason and purpose for living that gives us encouragement and hope.

All things denote there is a God, a Supreme Creator of all things created.

Life is not some random event where happenstance is continually repeated.

For those who pay attention, the door opens wide for a celestial view.

God has made the plan known to those willing to seek and pursue.

His word and will were enough to get the job done.

Majesty, beauty, complexity and simplicity all rolled up into one.

All things were made by God through His Begotten Son. (John 1: 3)

Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Psalm 33: 5-9 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

Psalm 8: 3-5 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Alma 30: 4 ….. all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.

“Believe in God like you believe in the sunrise. Not because you can see it, but because you can see all it touches” - C. S. Lewis
