Once upon a time, the planets, the stars and the earth came to be,
was there a “big bang” or other special effects that many now think they can see ?
How exactly did this happen ? - we have some useful facts,
God created it all, through his Son, Jesus Christ.
Earth and all things ever on it were created in periods of time,
Soil and water, light and plants, and then life of all kinds.
Matter was organized into a thriving place for all,
perfect conditions were created for creatures, both large and small.
How long did it take, how long was considered a day?
Time is not measured the same by God, it is done in His own way.
Some creatures have come and gone, they had their time and demonstrated their worth.
Mankind came last of all and was given dominion over all the earth.
Records were kept on how the creation was made complete,
handed down through generations of time to help us remember this event so sweet.
This is no fairy tale, but you still may not believe what your eyes cannot see,
God moves in mysterious ways and his creations are part of his majesty.
In creating something so wonderful, there was a great plan,
God’s purpose for all was the happiness of man.
The plan entails challenges to help us to learn and to grow,
Most times we don’t seek to understand all that God wants us to know.
