Go All The Way

Updated: Dec 5, 2021

(I haven’t come this far just to come this far)

Well my friend, you are half-way there,

You have come this far, why not go further from here?

You have endured many trials, faced many forks in the road,

it’s not time to sit still and take off the load.

Each step on your journey will see you improve and grow,

when you are moving in the right direction, it matters not how long the trip or how slow.

Every tear you have shed, every challenge you have overcome,

has made you stronger and better qualified to be like the Son.

Don’t give up now just because the trip is long,

your destination is not possible except for the journey you have won.

You have feet in your shoes and brains in your head,

you have everything you need for the journey ahead.

You are following in the steps of other valiant souls,

their fortitude and determination have proven them and made their faith whole.

They have cleared the path and have lighted your way,

your job looks easy compared to the journey they have made.

You see their tracks in the mud and snow,

leading you on your way to where you should go.

Your companions on this journey are close at hand,

reminding you that you are not alone, you are not a one-man-band.

God has your back, He will always be there,

Heavenly powers will assist, with all kinds of blessings to share.

Angels will bear you up and minister to your needs,

forces seen and unseen will support you with Godlike speed.

God has not removed the challenges, he just makes them easier to endure,

trust in his wisdom, he knows better than us, that is for sure.

After you have gotten into the strait and narrow path, I would ask if all is done?

you have not come this far, except for faith in God and Christ, His Son. (2 Nephi 31:19)

You have wandered off the path more than a time or two,

you are now on the road again and determined to stick to it like glue.

You will eventually arrive at your destination, the place you have sought,

Let me remind you that your heavenly home awaits you, just in case you forgot.
