Embraced

(Moroni Chapter 6)

As she rose from the water, she felt renewed and clean,

her baptism was a new beginning- the start of great wonders yet to be seen.

She thought back to her life before and recent events that fortified her belief -

there were many days and nights of discovery, despair and then immense comfort and

relief.

The process of repentance begins with deep humility and a broken heart,

a contrite spirit that comes from truly repenting of our sins and seeking a fresh start.

One of the great blessing of forgiveness is to find oneself – to become self-aware,

to realize our purpose in life, fully grasp our relationship with God and recognize his tender care.

When we hunger and thirst after righteousness and seek change that will endure,

we will desire to improve our behavior and make ourselves steadfast and sure.

The worth of souls is great in the sight of God - (D&C 18:10,13)

great is his joy in the person who repenteth and strives to do good.

The Lord shows us that which we lack so we may know his grace, (Jacob 4: 7)

that through humility our weaknesses can become our strengths. (Ether 12:27)

As we take upon us the name of Christ and have a determination to serve Him to the end,

we can become a new creature, better understand our divine potential and be redeemed from sin.

Our brains are washed pure as we are nourished by the good word of God daily - (Moroni 6:4)

our views and perspective will improve, we will think better and see more clearly.

The words of Christ and the Holy Ghost have power to cleanse and serve as our guiding star -

they will tell us and show us all things that we should do and see things as they really are.

(Jacob 4: 13) (2 Nephi 32:3)

In the community of believers, we can be remembered and kept in the right way,

we become fellow citizens with the saints as we pursue the welfare of others each day. (Ephesians 2: 19)

We can be ministered to by angels, friends and neighbors for the well-being of our souls,

we can fast, pray and encourage each other to be like Christ and be made well and whole.

The example of other disciples can inspire us to do and be better -

the brother and sisterhood we feel brings comfort and peace unfettered.

In this circle of fellowship we remember the Savior and partake of his emblems divine,

we commit to follow his example - to live a life less selfish and more loving and kind.

When we rely on the merits of Christ, his teachings and sacrifice,

He becomes the author and finisher of our faith and our hope of a more consecrated life.

Being nurtured and nourished in the household of God,

is a feeling of acceptance, much like a loving embrace from the Lord.
